New Life

I found myself being dumped today,
But treasure gets found in the reject pile.

I found myself at a loose end today,
And decided to enjoy the freedom a while.

I found myself without a home today
But realised I can sleep almost anywhere.

I’ve left my dependence behind today
I don't need him! So there.

I left my glam clothes at his place today,
But I feel free in a t-shirt and jeans.

I've left the old me behind, you see
And I love what my new life now means.
